Voice control,
made easy

Say what you want, and your Mac does it. Starky handles the setup, teaches you as you go, and keeps everything you can say in one place you can search.

Available on macOS  ·  Built for Talon

The Starky app open on Commands, showing 1,214 things you can say on this Mac, grouped into cards: Talon, Help, Writing text, Editing text, Mouse, Windows, Browsers, System, Starky, and your own commands.

Every command on your Mac, grouped by what it is for.

Why Starky

Everything voice control needs, in one app

Talon is a remarkable engine, but getting it set up, learning it, and keeping it organized is a project of its own. Starky is that whole layer, done for you.

Set up for you, start to finish

Open Starky and it handles the entire setup itself. No Terminal, no Git, no config files, and nothing to hunt down and download from the internet. It is ready to use out of the box.

A full command set on day one

Close to 3,000 commands come preloaded and working. Text, apps, the web, and the mouse are all yours from the moment it opens, with nothing to assemble.

Tutorials that make you fluent

23 lessons that run alongside your real work, not inside a sandbox. Say real commands, watch them work, and build the habit one lesson at a time.

Your commands, finally organized

Browse and search your whole command set in plain English, then rename, edit, or build commands without touching syntax. Every change is revertible in one tap.

Starky's search open over the command library. The query reads "move the mouse" and six numbered results come back, each with a plain description and where it works.
Ask in your own words

Find the command you meant

You do not have to know what a command is called. Describe what you want to do and Starky searches everything you have at once, in plain English.

  • Results are numbered, so you can say starky pick two and open one
  • Every result says what it does and where it works
  • Arrow keys and return work throughout, for anyone not using a mouse
A dark Starky lesson card floating in sharp focus over a long article open in a web browser, the page behind it softly blurred. The card reads "Scroll down the page", shows the phrase "scroll down" to say, and has an "I did it" button, with a progress bar reading 8 of 21.
Lessons that follow you

Learn where you actually work

Voice control is not something you learn by reading about it. Starky's lessons float above whatever you are doing, in your mail, your browser, your documents, and tick themselves off when they hear you say the phrase.

  • 23 lessons across four tracks, from your first word to fluent
  • Take them in any order. Nothing is locked, and nothing can be failed
  • The card never steals focus, so the app you are learning in stays in front
Starky's command editor. The trigger field holds "grab that", confirmed underneath, and an open menu offers five kinds of step: press keys, type text, do an action, run a command inside an app, and wait a moment.
A visual editor, not config files

Change anything, in plain language

Every command is laid out the way you would describe it: what you say, what it does, and where it works. No header syntax, no scripting.

  • Rename a command so it lands for your voice
  • Build new ones from simple steps: type, press keys, wait, click
  • Teach Starky your words: names, apps, jargon, nicknames
  • Every change is saved to history and revertible in one tap
